Glamor at the Little Art Show 2010
Last night, the Artists ‘ Network celebrated its annual main fund raiser event with glamor! The Little Art Show, a silent auction event of more than 100 small pieces of art, took place at the Mercedes-Benz downtown. Many people came and shopped for some amazing artwork, for a steal! And all proceeds go to the Artists’ Network, to help with promoting local arts in Toronto.
I had 3 pieces accepted to the show. Here are my photos from the event next to each of my artwork. Green Hope was in the first lot, and was sold to painter Gary Bercovitch. Narcissus participated in the second lot, and was sold to photographer Rod Trider. Thank you Gary and Rod for your support! I have also included Gary’s and Rod’s artwork from the show.
Gaga Calling was in the third lot, and was not sold. So it is available for the grab. You can purchase it right here, using the PayPal button bellow the image. (Note that the image of the painting here appears lighter than it is).
I also bid on few pieces, but eventually won one bid. And I am thrilled about it. It’s a painting by my mentor, artist Gary Smith, which otherwise I would not be able to afford.
And, as a nice bonus to a successful night, my wife and I also won one of the Swag Bags raffled throughout the night. The bag had lots of goodies, but the most amazing prize is a free course at the Toronto School of Art. I can’t wait to take it!
